About me

Edoardo Zotti (*1995) studied at the "J. Tomadini" State Conservatory of Music in Udine under the guidance of Maestro Fabrizio Paoletti, graduating at the age of 19 with a Diploma in saxophone with highest honors (summa cum laude).

He subsequently continued his studies at the University of Music and Performing Arts Munich (Hochschule für Musik und Theater München) in the class of Prof. Koryun Asatryan, where he obtained his Master of Music in saxophone.

He has participated in masterclasses with internationally renowned saxophonists such as Alfonso Padilla, Kenneth Tse, Dejan Presicek, Matjaz Drevensek, Jean-Yves Fourmeau, Marco Gerboni, Christian Wirth, Arno Bornkamp, Daniel Gauthier, Claude Delangle, and Jean-Marie Londeix.

In the field of chamber music, he had the opportunity to refine his skills as a member of the ECMA (European Chamber Music Academy) at the Royal Northern College of Music (RNCM) in Manchester and the Fiesole School of Music with Jeremy Young, Johannes Meissl, Hatto Bayerle, Petr Prause, Miguel da Silva, Rob Buckland, Antonello Farulli, Minna Pensola, Andrea Nannoni, Christophe Giovaninetti, Hyung-ki Joo, and David Dolan, as well as at the University of Music and Performing Arts Munich with Dirk Mommertz and Friedemann Berger.

He has taken part in numerous international competitions, receiving various accolades, including 1st Prize and Absolute 1st Prize at the "International Music Competition for Young Musicians of Povoletto," 1st Prize at the "XI National Competition City of Riccione," Absolute 1st Prize at the 2nd edition of the music competition for young musicians "City of Palmanova," 2nd Prize at the European Chamber Music Competition of Moncalieri, and Absolute 1st Prize at the Svirel 2016 competition. He was also a finalist in the "Marco Fiorindo" chamber music competition in Nichelino, the "Premio Cremonesi" in Milan, and the "Premio Abbado."

His concert activity has led him to perform not only in Italy, but also in France, the United States, Slovenia, Austria, Switzerland, Germany, Morocco, China, England, the Netherlands, Belgium, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, Ecuador, Poland, Algeria, Pakistan, Cyprus, Bulgaria, and Latvia.

As a soloist and in various chamber music ensembles, he has performed at the Berlin Philharmonie with the Deutsche Symphonie-Orchester Berlin (DSO), in the Wolkenturm auditorium in Grafenegg with the Tonkünstler Orchestra of Vienna, at the Théâtre Croisette in Cannes with the Orchestre national de Cannes, at the Laeiszhalle in Hamburg with the Hamburger Symphoniker, with the Südwestdeutsche Kammerorchester Pforzheim (SWDKO), at the Philharmonie am Gasteig, the Isarphilharmonie, and the Prinzregententheater in Munich, as well as at the Konzerthaus Berlin and the Konzerthaus Vienna.
 

From 2017 to 2023, he was a member of the Arcis Saxophon Quartett.

Since 2025, he has been a member of the SIGNUM saxophone quartet.
 

He has also collaborated with Italian radio broadcasters such as Rai in Turin and Radio della Svizzera italiana, as well as foreign broadcasters including NDR - Norddeutscher Rundfunk, BR - Bayerischer Rundfunk, and ZDF.

 

He has taught at the Conservatorio Nacional de Música in Quito (Ecuador), Lincoln Memorial University in Harrogate, Tennessee (USA), the "F. Villafranca" Conservatory in Vibo Valentia, the "L. Boccherini" Conservatory in Lucca, and the "J. Tomadini" Conservatory in Udine.
